Good deeds. Good times.

Kuchanga Travel connects individuals and organizations to a wonderful range of volunteer opportunities and adventure in Uganda, Tanzania (including Zanzibar), Zambia, and South Africa.

Our trips focus on volunteering, eco-adventure, wildlife safaris and cultural interaction – in a fun, rewarding combination that we shape according to your interests and in partnership with schools, faith-based initiatives, business ventures, locally operated tour companies and carefully-vetted NGO’s.

We're organizing several upcoming tours – you can join one or plan a new one for your group. You can also join separate group experiences organized by local partners in our many amazing destinations. We'll set you up on the ground and give you someone you can contact at any time.

We're here to help you help others! Contact us when you're ready to make the trip of a lifetime!

What you can do for others

School run by WOWAYA, Uganda
Kuchanga Travel connects you with people and communities working to improve their lives. In the span of a week or two on the ground, your knowledge and skills can make a real difference. Teach, train, mentor, plan, build – and create lasting relationships.

You can fund a business startup with a micro-loan and help a local entrepreneur build the skills necessary to succeed.

If you have your own dream or idea to pursue in East Africa, Kuchanga Travel can help you realize it via connections in the United States and Africa, travel packaging, logistics, and planning assistance!

Organic Poultry Farming in Uganda: Summer 2013

We are helping to get homeless kids off the streets of Kampala and bring them to live in the village and go to school. Side by side, with Kitenge Africa, we are helping all the school children in the village of Busomba. We now put our efforts toward helping build a sustainable poultry rearing project for the school. The fundraising has begun! Now it's time to decide how YOU can be part of the experience.
