Antelope Park Hands-On Lion Rehabilitation Project, Zimbabwe
As a volunteer on this project you will get involved in the vital research of lion behavior and enjoy hands-on work with lions in the world’s only significant program for their release into the wild. Volunteers will assist our staff with all aspects that go into caring for the animals in their charge. In addition, volunteers will be involved with a variety of fundamental conservation tasks in Antelope Park National Park as well as presenting conservation education at a local primary school.
Sample day schedule
Day trips are offered to the Great Zimbabwe Ruins as well as Granite Ridge in the beautiful Matobo National Park. These trips are also a great time for volunteers to interact and get to know each other better. Each will cost approximately $475 (this includes National Parks fees, transport, meals (excluding meals in Antelope Park), and accommodation).
NOTE: These are not included in your volunteering fee, but our coordinators are able to assist you with making the necessary booking arrangements.
