                                  Wildlife and Cultural Safari

Kuchanga Travel's eco-adventure experiences bring you closer to local environments
and cultures. We partner with locally-owned and tour operators and visit communities that want us and benefit from us. Famous for it's abundant wildlife, including the migration of the wildebeest, you cannot visit Tanzania without meeting some of its peoples. There's the Ngorongoro Crater, the Serengeti, Lake Manyara and Olduvai Gorge where the earliest remains of humans have been found.

There are more than 100 different tribal groups within the country. Many of the tribes have adapted to living in modern cities or using western farming techniques, however there are tribes that still cling to their traditions and culture as it has been for hundreds of years. Among ethnic groups that still adhere to their traditional way of life are the pastoralist Maasai and Datoga, Hadzabe (the bushmen), and the agrarian Iraqw people. Over the years Kuchanga Travel's local partners have built strong friendships with members of these tribes and they will welcome you as visitors.

Uganda is Africa condensed, with the best of everything the continent has to offer packed into one small but stunning destination. Uganda is home to the highest mountain range in Africa, the Mountains of the Moon in the Rwenzori National Park. It is the source of the mighty Nile, and around Jinja offers the best white-water rafting in the world. It has the highest concentration of primates on earth, including the majestic mountain gorilla, one of the rarest animals on the planet.
