You and your organization can join an interfaith charitable effort being organized by Kuchanga Travel to develop a web-based learning center connecting the Nabagoye to books, learning tools and opportunities to make connections with the rest of the world..

Cloud-based learning center and community library project
The local community in Nabagoye is hungry for knowledge resources and has a great story of interfaith cooperation to tell the world. The learning center being developed by Kuchanga Travel would supply connectivity, hardware and training so that the local community can access information not otherwise available to it. We will  provide computers and accounts through Google and Amazon for donors to provide electronic versions of books for the community library, and provide platforms for communication for the community to build relationships throughout the world utilizing email, video chat, social networking and the Internet.

The project is starting from the ground up. The local power grid is unstable and unreliable. Bandwidth is currently limited in the rural district around Nabagoye but can be run to the village. No hardware or equipment is currently in place, nor are a sufficient number of computers. The project is expected to require US $50,000 in hard costs to accomplish. 

What you can do
Kuchanga Travel is soliciting funding, expertise and time from interested individuals and organizations. We will be taking a group of travelers to install the center, train staff and spend time getting to know the people of Nabagoye. Kuchanga Travel is planning trips in July and December to do the project. All participants will be able to apply their talents and experiences for a grateful community. Donations are also welcome!
