Limuru Medical Hospital and Orphanage Project, Kenya
Kenya's health care infrastructure suffers from an enormous deficit of medical staff and resources. The assistance that volunteers provide is greatly appreciated by the community as well as the nurses and doctors we work with. Our volunteers have been involved in vaccination clinics and assisted in the deliveries of a number of babies. They have also been involved in medical community outreaches and economic growth programs, which have gone a long way in taking health awareness to the doorsteps of those who need it most. There are countless possibilities to improve the lives of those that are affected by these problems - in orphanages, schools, and public health centers surrounding the Limuru area.
Limuru, Kenya offers an amazing variety of safari options not far from Nairobi - making it a perfect weekend getaway!
